As a PSY major, research methodology is a critical skill, and this book is well worth adding to your library even without a class. The author has an amazing, frequently updated blog that expands on the content, and it includes an excellent online practice website access code. It is organized well, uses accessible language, excellent graphics and tables, and keywords in bold.

I like buying the kindle editions it's easier for me to read where ever I go.
Recommended after taking an statistics class. Thought this was a great book for Undergraduate Research Methods. I found the text was engaging. It covers all important current ideas in Psychology and it’s well put together. A bit on the expensive side but you may want to keep it for reference.
